Results of the 2015 Brett Bailey Mako Tournament

14th Annual BTB Mako Rodeo

Location: Hoffman’s Marina West, Brielle, New Jersey, USA.
Date: 12. – 13. June 2015

According to the organizer, a total of 66 boats participated in this year’s Brett Bailey Mako Rodeo that took place at Hoffman’s Marina in Brielle, New Jersey.

It’s a mako only fishing competition, with an additional award for the biggest thresher shark, that required a minimum weight of 150 lbs to qualify for any prizes ( totalling $38,000 ).

The crew of ‘Fin-Ominal’ was the overall winner for catching the heaviest mako shark, which weighed in at 466.8 pounds. This specimen set a new record in the tournament’s fourteen years old history.

The thresher calcutta prize was won by the crew of ‘Seaquester’ with a 224.6 pounds thresher shark.
