Video: Megamouth Shark Released Off Taiwan

On June 3rd 2021, this megamouth shark Megachasma pelagios was caught and released by a gillnet fishing boat off Hualien (located on the east coast of Taiwan). This incident is described as the first official release of this species since a fishing ban was introduced by Taiwan last year (see related Press Release HERE).
