Auckland Museum: Rehutai, the smallest of the great white sharks

This shark, named Rehutai by Ngāti Kuri, measures 105cm which turns out to be the smallest free-swimming white shark ever recorded, and provides new knowledge on the life history of this charismatic species. This video tells more of the story behind the discovery, naming and preparation of Rehutai for the collection at the Auckland Museum.
