Great white shark dies after lunging at divers in cage and getting trapped

The incident reportedly occurred off Guadalupe Island (Mexico) on 09. October 2019.

According to a press release issued by local authorities, the shark involved was a male white shark with an estimated length of 3.50 metres. The specimen has been spotted in the surrounding waters of the Guadalupe Island biosphere reserve since 2016 and it was photo-identified as specimen #194 by scientists of the Marine Conservation Science Institute.
