GMA News: Rare Megamouth shark killed by fishermen in Philippines

A rare megamouth shark was killed by local fishermen after it got entangled in a fishing net in the waters off Barangay Tablon, Cagayan de Oro City.

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) went to the site but they discovered that some residents cut off the tail and fins of the shark.

An investigation on the incident is still ongoing.
