ABSTRACT:
A new species of Urobatis (Myliobatiformes: Urotrygonidae) from the tropical Eastern Pacific.
A new species of round stingray, Urobatis pardalis sp. nov., is described from material collected in the Pacific
coast of Costa Rica. This new species differs from its congeners by the color pattern of the dorsal surface and
by several proportional measurements. A key to all species of the genus is provided.
