10th annual Wrightsville Beach Dogfish Tournament
Location: Johnnie Mercer’s Fishing Pier, Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, USA.

117 anglers entered the competition that took place at Johnnie Mercer’s Pier, located in Wrightsville Beach in the state of North Carolina.
The tournament ended with 65 fish weighed at the scale, totaling 497 pounds of dogfish being registered during the single day event that promotes catch and release. The average weight per fish was 7.6 pounds.
Over $530 was raised for charity, benefiting ‘Animal Life’ and the ‘North Carolina Public Access Foundation NCPAF’.
