According to MarineBio.org porbeagle sharks are listed as vulnerable (to extinction) by the IUCN. But the Western Atlantic Sugpopulation is listed as endangered with 2 others listed as critically endangered.

Common, bigeye and pelagic thresher sharks are all classified as vulnerable as are shortfin mako sharks. Blue sharks are near threatened. It is a shame that tournaments targeting endangered wild animals are allowed to continue.
