The video was uploaded by ‘Antena 3 Canarias’ on 28 December 2015.

Cristina Ojeda (38), a tourist from Madrid, was bitten by a shark while swimming about 15 to 20 metres from shore at the beach of Arinaga in Aguimes on Gran Canaria’s east coast (Canary Islands, Spain). She sustained injuries to her left forearm. According to local biologists and specialists, the involved species is believed to be a silky shark (Carcharhinus falciformis) measuring between 1,8 and 2 metres long. Another shark incident occurred a few months ago, when a boy was bitten on the foot by an angel shark (Squatina species) in Playa del Inglés.
