Three whale sharks caught in Ampara, Sri Lanka

According to an article by ‘Newsfirst Sri Lanka’ ( published on 20. Oct 2014 ), fishermen in the Ampara area were able to net in, not one, but three young whale sharks (Rhincodon typus). One of these specimens (presumably the biggest one) is said to be only 500 kg in weight. The Ampara District is located in the south east of Sri Lanka.
