Video uploaded by Digital Spring on 09. October 2012 :

Rodney was attacked by a huge Great White Shark whilst spearfishing off Adelaide in 1963. After miraculously surviving the attack, Rodney went on to make Great White Sharks his life’s work, not only becoming one of the world’s most pre-eminent shark experts, but also designing the first shark observation cage and consulting on the subject for films and documentaries including Steven Spielberg’s iconic film Jaws. Listening to Rodney’s story is something of a humbling experience as he tells of his passion to conserve the apex predator that nearly ended his life, as well as his knowledge and respect for the rich marine environment of South Australia.
