Whale shark washed up on beach in Taiwan

Date: 23 July 2011.

Location: Dawu,Taitung County, Taiwan.

Species: Whale shark, female ( Rhincodon typus ).

Size: 5.28 metres in total length.

The shark was found stranded on a beach and transported

to the National Museum of Marine Biology in Pingtung.
