Thresher Shark caught in France

Date: 29. August 2011

Location: Gruissan, Gulf of Lion (Mediterranean Sea), France.

Species: Thresher shark ( Alopias vulpinus ).

Size: 4.30 metres in length, 185 kg (407.855 lb).

The catch was made 12 km offshore by the boat “l’Armissanot”.

It took the angler about 5 hours to reel in the shark.
