Spanish fisherman captures rare shark

Location: Northwestern Spain.

Species: Goblin shark (Mitsukurina owstoni).

The Spanish trawler ‘Gonzacove Dos’, which is based at the port of Marín (Pontevedra Province in Galicia),

caught this specimen in the neighboring Portuguese waters.

The source is reporting that the goblin shark was taken to the CEPESMA institute in Luarca,

located in the Principality of Asturias.
