The German taxidermist Thomas Winkler is currently working on what he says is the

largest great white shark ever caught.

The approx. 6,30 metres long shark was caught in the Indian Ocean off Kenia in the mid-1990s.

‘I went to the beach and made a silicone impression of the 2.5 tons dead animal’, said Mr.Winkler.

Back home, he built a fiberglass replica based on the silicone mold.

The 50-years old taxidermist is expecting to finish his work by the end of the year.

It is his second replica of the giant great white shark. He made the first replica of this specimen in 1998.
