Basking Shark found stranded in Chile

Location: Santa María Island, Biobío Region, Chile.
Species: Basking shark ( Cetorhinus maximus ).
Size: approx. 7,60 metres in length.
The specimen was found on the beach in the area of Punta Delicada.
The source is reporting that the shark washed ashore after it became
entangled in fishing gear.
