Another Sixgill Shark netted in Turkey

Date: 16. October 2011.

Location: Istanbul, Turkey.

Species: Bluntnose sixgill shark (Hexanchus griseus).

Size: reported to be 4,20 metres in length, 900 kg in weight ( must be an overestimate ).

The shark was caught in the Sea of Marmara and displayed by a fishmonger in Ümraniye, a district of Istanbul.
