114 Boats for 2 days, shark targetted fishing…
And less than 1 shark a day per boat is fished.
That should be the obvious result of there are no more sharks out there,
I hope the fishermen sees the same facts

  2. ka

it matters how the water temp and finding the right spots
not that theres not enough sharks in the ocean
    youre a moron

Out of 114 boats with experience, captains and skippers and handlers, knowing these waters, have the equipment and charts to see the currents and water temperature, hundreds of baits in water every minute of the tournement, shark targetted fishing…
    And I am a moron…
And you should be the wise guy…

KA, You are right on. Angel is a Moron. We fish the tounament every year. We see, catch and release plenty of Sharks. The catch summary shows 193 total sharks. That number is probably incorrect. Most boats do not properly fill out their catch reports. I would estimate that release number to be closer to 250. Go hug a tree Angel.

Also Angel, You have to realize that all those sharks were caught in a grand total of 14 hours of fishing. It could take anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours to fight one shark. During that time, the rest of your lines are out of the water. Then it takes 15 to 30 minutes to re-set your chum and & bait. That doesn’t leave that much time to catch alot of sharks. AND, a boat is only allowed to take one shark per day. If that fish is hooked-up, fought, and boated early in the day, that boat is done fishing for the day. All of my points show that there are plenty of sharks still left in the ocean.

You Claim 193 sharks hooked and caught and the number is actually 250. Because they do not correctly input thier data.. I wonder why they do it ? But that is not the point now..
You claim they under write about %25 of the real catch, roughly…
Just a few years ago, their claimed number is around 400 sharks..
If we add your unclaimed %25 to it as you did it in your resonse, the number should be 500 sharks in the same event just 2 years ago… The data is from thier web site, if they are wrong or they under write it there as well, you know better than me..
You claim yourself. Your own words “that there are plenty of sharks still left in the ocean” Still left in the ocean… All I wanted was, if you read my message again, that you should be aware of the fact that the numbers are declining fast. I think if you want to keep shark fishing in future, you should think the same way. All scientific data shows that shark numbers are declining all over… Even your official web site shows it…
Also I am not offended by your moron calls. Everyone speaks for himself. Our language and respect for others and other opinions manifests itself by our words. I expect the same respect that I show to anyone. I hope you understand me… Words can speak for themselves and for us. They show our character…
