Dead Shark found in Mallorca

Location: Sóller, Mallorca, Balearic Islands, Spain.
Species: Bluntnose sixgill shark ( Hexanchus griseus ).
Size: reported to be approx. 4 metres in length.
The shark was found dead, floating in the waters of Port de Sóller.
The cause of death is currently unknown .

I live in the Port and seeing these facinating creatures is VERY rare. I saw a fin while kayaking close to the coast line, but wasnt able to get a good view of the animal itself.
I live in Soller too. Every some years dead sharks appear in the area. Probably you saw a blue shark, it’s quite common here.
